In light of the developments regarding COVID-19, I would like to first say that our thoughts are with those affected by the virus around the globe.
At Halmstad University the well-being and safety of our students, staff and faculty members as well as global partner universities are our top priority. Halmstad and the surrounding areas are relatively mildly affected by the virus so far. However, we closely monitor the evolving situation and implement ongoing measures to ensure health and safety in our everyday operations.
The Halmstad University management has asked its students, staff and faculty members to whenever possible in the present climate, carry out their tasks from home. We have the technology to conduct top class distance education and a flexible working culture that enable us to efficiently and effectively perform our work in a satisfactory way. We will continue to adapt our approach to meet the needs of all our students and staff, as well as our global partners. Naturally, we will keep you updated and informed on all major forthcoming changes when they take place at Halmstad University.
As we navigate through these challenging times, I am reminded of how fortunate we are to be part of this strong community that support each other to accomplish great things. It is the power of this support that will propel us through this to better times.
